Vladimir Putin stated that Iran, Russia’s main ally in the Middle East, has not asked Moscow for military assistance, nearly a week after the unprecedented conflict began between Israel and Iran.
“Our Iranian friends have not requested that from us,” said the Russian president in response to a question from an AFP journalist during a meeting with foreign news agency representatives in Saint Petersburg.
