Danish Striker Is Inter’s Second Choice

Inter Milan remains keen on signing Danish forward Rasmus Højlund, Manchester United’s striker, to strengthen the team ahead of the new season.

Inter aims to reinforce their attack with new signings, especially after the departures of Marko Arnautović and Joaquín Correa at the end of their contracts this summer. Meanwhile, the Italian club has also shown openness to letting their third striker, Mehdi Taremi, leave if a suitable offer arrives.

According to the Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter Milan is close to finalizing a deal with Parma to sign young striker Ange-Yoan Bonny, who previously worked under Christian Kivuo, Inter’s current head coach, during their time at Parma.

The report adds that Rasmus Højlund is Inter’s second preferred choice to strengthen their attack for the upcoming season.

Manchester United insists that Højlund will not leave the club for less than €45 million this summer, especially since they paid over €75 million to sign him from Atalanta two years ago. Inter, however, is unlikely to spend such an amount and is therefore exploring alternative plans, aiming to sign Højlund on loan.

Inter is said to be eager to secure Højlund on a loan deal with an option to buy in summer 2026. The club may offer Manchester United a hefty loan fee in hopes of negotiating a reduced purchase option the following summer.
